Minutes of Monthly Meeting March 11, 2004

Call to Order 7:45

Thank you from the President to several members for the efforts towards the club.

Treasurers Report:
Ken will call Clark for a report on bills outstanding and current balance of our bank account.

Old Business:
John White has taken over as Communications and done a remarkable job with our internet site.
Ken will check on the information to our Internet account.
Contract : Time that is covered , how long we are obligated, and cost
ZZCA (Z Car Club Association) has accepted our application for membership and we have received the stickers for our cars.
Is the membership dates Jan.- Dec.?

New Business:
Ken now turns the meeting over to Scott Blankenship to discuss more details for Z Fest.
Hotel: Reservations are starting to come in
Early Registration is off to slow start (no one from Orlando, Yet)
Place: Scott still talking with Gators. They have given the back room and said they might get there a little earlier for bathrooms. Trying to get some food donated for dinner Sat night.
Parking lot looks like it could accommodate 300 cars
Tents: Chris and Al(?) have 12x12 tents. Thought I heard someone had a 10x10 also.
Skip had checked on prices for renting a tent and we discussed the advantages of purchasing one instead. Scott volunteered Brother Dan to check on some prices since he was going shopping for some things for the event.
Audio: Chris found a person to provide microphone and music
Registration: Scott Anderson and Al Amato they want 4 volunteers(from other clubs would be nice)
Swap Meet: Al Amato coordinating. Was suggested that tags have Car Club, phone number and price
Car Show: Jim Peters is in charge.
Tech. Talks: Brent Edmark is coordinating
We have an Auto Detail Specialist
Al is talking about bringing his motor for tear down.
Road Rally on Saturday: Dan Blankenship
Sponsors: Ken Cordero is coordinating . Motosport and Courtesy Nissan out of Texas need to be contacted.. Scott B. suggested a tire representative auto repair and other Nissan dealers.
Dinner and Awards at Gators: If Gators is supplying any complimentary food for the participants then each entrant will receive one dinner ticket. For each additional person in their party they must purchase a meal ticket for Saturday night.
How is this going to work? Will it be a nominal fee to cover wings? If they want a full meal they are still going to have to order from the menu.

Sunday Cruze: Scott Anderson is planning

Chris and Tanya have volunteered for a lot
1. Shirts -needs all sponsors names (logos were discussed but not sounding good) no later than April 2nd
2. Welcome Bags: Can even be plastic
3. Street signs: Show n' Shine, Swap Meet, some numbered cards, Car Group Cards(240Z,
260 Z, 280Z Ect.)
4. Banner -decided it should say just FLORIDA 'Z' FEST so it can be used more than once.
5. Trophy's: 1st place need to be nice, 2nd smaller with class names

Cones and tape to mark off the parking lot : Skip Pringle and Mel Walters are working on.
