Minutes of Monthly Meeting April 8, 2004

Call to order, 8:00 pm

Meeting at Panera  Bread St. Road 434

Secretary: Minutes form last meeting waived.

 

 

Old Business: Meeting Place- Clark called several places and found that the Roadhouse has a meeting room with a good menu and drinks. Ken will call them.

E-mail from Ken:

I called Roadhouse Grill on HGWY. 434 in Longwood and spoke to the manager and I think we have an agreement. (407-682-5065)

The room is limited to 28 people and usually they do not book the room months in advance but I indicated that I was able to get a memo to them from the Z Club indicating all the dates from May until December so that when they start taking reservations for the new month they will have our needs already for that month and can reserve the room. I will get the address once I confirm face to face with them.

Tech Sessions:

We now have three "Tech Session" lined up for Saturday April 17th as follows:

1) 9:30-10:30am - PB Leathers (www.PBleathers.com), custom leather seat covers and will do an installation on a set of seats from a 71 240Z.
2) 10:30-11:30am - Proper Auto Care (www.properautocare.com), will provide information about the best products and methodologies for detailing the exterior of your Z.

3) 11:30-12:30am - Rollin Sound (Jacksonville), installation of front speakers (will perform an actual install at cost for a participant of Z Fest).

We are still looking for possibly one more tech session if we can so if you know of any vendor who might be interested see the first post on this thread.

Early Registration: Scott Anderson has received 40 registrations so far.  We are expecting at least another 60. 

Hotel Rooms: 20 have been booked for Friday night and 32 for Saturday.

Shirts and Hats: Chris and Tanya brought examples of the logos for the shirts and hats. They also got very good purchase prices for the hats and shirts.

Welcome Bags: will have the same logo and contain List of Sponsors, Schedule, Agenda, (All 3 courtesy John White), ticket for door prizes various give aways, vinyl graphic of Z Fest for car, 1 shirt (If they pre registered we need to set the sizes aside that they ordered.)

We will get them ready and hand them out at registration.

Only registered participants are eligible for drawings.

Trophies are a choice between standard or goblet type. Goblet takes the vote and Chris will see that they are nice and within our budget. Name plates  will be mailed to the winner.

There will be 17- 1st and 17- 2nd place and 1 Standard Large for Best in Show.

Judges: Jim Peters needs 2 volunteers for judging the car show. Derek has volunteered and so has Rita they will call him and brush up on the rules

Photographs: Clark will be our official Photographer. He will make a disc out of them.

DJ:   ?

Parking Lot: Scott is labeling a diagram so it is ordered. Chris and Tanya have done the signs to mark the areas

Cones: Mel and Skip will bring 2 dozen

Fri. Night Meet and Greet is at Hooter’s Scott and Dan B., Chris and Tanya, John and anyone else who would like to get the weekend started.

Need workers 7:00 AM: Tent poppers, Table and Chairs set up, Parking ushers, Registration assistants, Poker run for 2 of the stops.  Cherie will help with registration (or whatever)

We will direct them to their correct parking areas when they arrive. They can then go register. Like cars will be parked together in both areas.  (Show & Shine and regular)

Poker Run: Dan B. Has done the route.  It includes three stops.  Chris and Tanya will man one of them.  John White will try out the drive for Dan.
